Mostly the trees height were more than five meter

South Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency has handled 25 fallen trees since Wednesday (7/3) in 10 Sub-districts.

South Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency Head, Elly, admitted all fallen trees happened since yesterday were caused by strong wind and heavy rain.

"Mostly the trees height were more than five meter," he said, Thursday (7/4).

Elly added her side deployed 10 personnel with one crane car. They were also assisted by PPSU personnel and South Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency.

Elly continued, residents whose vehicles or property were hit by fallen trees can make an insurance claim according to the procedures attached to Tamanhutandki's Instagram social media or can submit an insurance claim online via the link http://bit.ly/PengajuanKlaimSantunan.

"If there is heavy rain accompanied by wind, motorists or pedestrians must not to take shelter under large trees. I also urge private tree owners to care for their trees properly and correctly," she added.
