Acting Jakarta Governor, Heru Budi Hartono inaugurated administrators, supervisors and sub-group heads within the Jakarta Provincial Government, on Tuesday (9/7).

A total of 84 State Civil Apparatus (ASN) consisting of echelon III and IV officials were inaugurated and took the oath of office at Balai Agung, Jakarta City Hall, Central Jakarta.
Acting Governor Heru emphasized that it is important to understand the duties, principal and functions according to the positions mandated to the appointed officials. This was done to increase the efficiency of civil servants performance and improve the quality of bureaucracy within the Jakarta Provincial Government.
"I want all mandated civil servants to understand their respective duties and responsibilities. We can all assess what work can be done from the urban village, sub-district, city/district level, that should be done at the provincial level. So they don't overlap each other. In this way, organizational order within the Jakarta Provincial Government will be more in line with our goal of serving the community," Heru said, as quoted from Jakarta Provincial Government's press release, Tuesday (9/7).
Heru also explained that the mutation process in an organization is a common thing. This was also done in the context of accelerating Jakarta's development towards a global scale business city. The inauguration was the result of an assessment of the performance of civil servants in developing Jakarta.
"So, for officials and all civil servants in Jakarta, work with their respective duties and tasks well. If you do it seriously, you will see results. We can see that ASNs who have received promotions have also passed the 'fit and proper test', apart from their good performance so far. Hopefully this can be a motivation, and we can all pursue accelerated development of Jakarta in a better direction," Heru added.
Acting Governor Heru hopes that all officials will continue to uphold integrity, professionalism and maintain the dignity of the Jakarta Provincial Government. So that Jakarta continues to develop not only now, but also for the future.
"To those who have been appointed and taken the oath of office, good luck. Please maintain the credibility of all of us, maintain the integrity and dignity of the Jakarta Provincial Government. Hopefully Jakarta residents will continue to get the best service from all of us," Heru stated.
The 84 officials appointed consisted of three echelon III officials, 77 echelon IV officials, and 4 Subgroup Chair officials. Spread across a number of agencies, namely the Regional Revenue Agency; Department of Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services; Fire and Rescue Agency; Central Jakarta Administrative City Secretariat; and the Regional Development Planning Agency.
