Emission Test Held on Jalan Ahmad Yani

As many as 96 four and two-wheeled vehicles passing Jalan Jenderal Ahmad Yani, Cempaka Putih Timur Urban Village, Wednesday (7/10), participated emission test.
Two four-wheeled and 16 two-wheeled vehicles failed the test
The program was held by Environment Sub-agency together with Police and Central Jakarta Transportation Agency.

"We are obliged to carry out emission tests. Today we conducted sampling of two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles passing along Jalan Jendral Ahmad Yani," he said.
In this activity, his party wanted to know how many motorized vehicles passing through Jakarta have had emissions tests. Motorized vehicles that do not pass the test are asked to immediately carry out maintenance and re-emission test.
He hopes that this activity will motivate residents to look after their vehicles so as not to increase air pollution. Because of this, they were asked to carry out maintenance so that their vehicles have exhaust gas according to predetermined standards.
"Or please use public transportation to reduce air pollution," he added.
Central Jakarta Environment Agency's Environment Damage and Pollution Handling Section head, Enrile Indro Prasetyo, stated his side involved police and transportation sub-agency to arrange the traffic.
According to him, there were 35 four-wheeled and 61 two-wheeled vehicles tested during the implementation.
"Two four-wheeled and 16 two-wheeled vehicles failed the test," he admitted.
