Diversification of Agricultural Products Training Held in Central Jakarta

As many as 50 residents of Menteng and Senen Sub-districts participate diversification of agricultural products training held by Central Jakarta Food Security, Maritime and Agriculture Sub-agency, Thursday (7/11) at Klender Agricultural Training Center, Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai, East Jakarta.

This event was appreciated by Central Jakarta Mayor, Dhany Sukma. He said that it could be a strategy to increase people's food security and foster competition in food processing according to developing trends.

"We want a new strategy to grow the diversification of food processing, especially agriculture, so that there is diversity, new views without reducing food that is safe, nutritious and diverse," he said.

He hoped that this training gives participants the ability to create culinary delights that are full of nutrition. These culinary creations will also be useful for consumption by families and toddlers. Moreover, a number of training participants were PKK representatives and Posyandu cadres.

Meanwhile, Central Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Penty Yunesi Pudyastuti, explained the second batch of agricultural product diversification training was attended by 25 participants each from Menteng and Senen Sub-districts.

It is hoped that the training participants will be able to share the material they have learned with their colleagues. There are also materials provided including processing pineapple jam and syrup, cookies and making healthy noodles.
