Seribu Island Environment Sub-agency held free emission test for motor vehicles at RPTRA Nyiur Melambai, Kelapa Island Urban Village, Seribu Utara Island Sub-district. There were 18 vehicles participated the test.

Seribu Island Environment Sub-agency's Pollution and Environment Damage Handling Section Head, Sri Hayyu Alynda Heryati, said the emission test is a routine activity carried out every quarter in the Seribu Island region.

The implementation of emission tests refers to the Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry Number 8/2023 concerning the Implementation of Emission Quality Standards for Motor Vehicles in Category M, Category N, Category O and Category L.
"This emissions test is also a follow-up to Governor Regulation Number 66/2020 concerning Motor Vehicle Exhaust Emission Tests," he explained.
Hayyu added that of the 18 motorbikes inspected, it was discovered that eight units did not pass the emissions test.
"We ask vehicle owners who have not passed the test to carry out routine vehicle repairs and maintenance," he added.
According to him, the implementation of emission test and education on the importance of maintaining vehicles with exhaust emissions according to the threshold will continue to be carried out in the Seribu Islands.
Meanwhile, RPTRA Nyiur Melambai Caretaker, Haryati, admitted she also participated in the test and passed it.
"This mobile service is assisting the residents much. We're supporting Jakarta Blue Sky program," she admitted.
