40 Entrepreneurs in Penjaringan Participate in Contemporary Culinary Training

Some 40 coached entrepeneurs under North Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises Sub-agency (PPKUKM), take part in the New Industrial Entrepreneurship Development for Culinary Sector at the Jakpro Asri RPTRA, Pluit Urban Village, Penjaringan Sub-district.

Penjaringan Sub-agency PPKUKM Executing Unit Head, Selly said the first wave of training aimed to intensify sales of Jakpreneur products through higher quality products, both in terms of raw materials, packaging, marketing, etc.

"They (participants) are from five urban villages in the Penjaringan District area. Training takes place from July 22 to 23, 2024," she expressed, Monday (7/22).

During the training, they received assistance from a professional chef. Technically, they would also be trained to make contemporary menus, namely Mentai Karage food, Dimsum, Gacoan Noodles, Pudding Desserts, and Matcha Latte drinks.

"After attending the training, participants will get business support tools," she explained.

Besides training in the culinary field, her party would also hold training in the fields of Fashion and Crafts. Hopefully, he could improve the economy and community welfare, especially in North Jakarta.

"My message is that participants take advantage of this training to improve their understanding and abilities. So, they can further develop their business," she explained.

The training received appreciation from one of the participants from Kapuk Muara Urban Village, Afifah (37).

"I'm very happy and proud because I can add new insights and knowledge," she admitted.

She was optimistic that after attending the training her business would continue to develop by serving hygienic food and contemporary menus.

"At first it looks difficult but when practiced it is quite easy. Hopefully, this new menu can increase my economic income," she said.
