"We also planted the same trees on Kalibaru riverbank previously," he said.

According to him, this social and public plan has been handed over to Jakarta Provincial Government. The area reaches 1,683 square meters. The land is also used as warehouse for Water Resource Sub-agency, temporary dump site, and park.

"Land for the park is still empty, that's why we plant them here," he added.

Meanwhile, Acting East Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency's Green Belt and Cemetery Section Head, Randi Putra, explained the planting involved 45 joint personnel from Green Belt Taskforce of 10 sub-districts, and so on.

According to him, this tree planting is a routine activity carried out every Friday. This is in order to support the greening program and the target of planting 4,000 trees in East Jakarta.

"Today's Friday planting activity, in addition to increasing greening, is also a step to secure provincial government assets so that they are not used by other parties," he stated.
