The Harapan Island Urban Village Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis), received tourism support equipment in the form of 26 snorkeling equipment from the Jakarta Transportation Agency's Dharma Wanita Association (DWP Dishub) and PT Indra Karya at Widia Bahari RPTRA on Harapan Island, South Seribu Islands.

The assistance given received appreciation from outh Seribu Islands Sub-district Head, Angga Saputra. It was very beneficial for tourism development on Harapan Island.

"It must be appreciated. Moreover, it can increase the income of the people of Harapan Island and provide comfortable facilities for tourists," he expressed, Friday (7/26).

He urged tourism administrators to manage and maintain this snorkeling equipment as well as possible. Including making innovations and helping the government develop tourism in Seribu Islands.

Jakarta Dishub's DWP Chairperson, Nurul Azizah Syafrin Liputo added her party also provided compensation to 26 orphaned children on Harapan Island along with school supplies.

"Hopefully, it is beneficial and can improve family welfare," she hoped.

PT Indra Karya President Director, Gok Ari Joso Simamora explained it is part of efforts to support Jakarta residents' needs. Hopefully, this tourism support equipment assistance would become capital for local tourism development.

"This is one of our social service programs. Hopefully, our attention can be accepted and supports their needs," she added.

Bintang Harapan Pokdarwis Chairperson, Junaedi expressed his gratitude to the Jakarta Dishub's DWP and PT Indra Karya for their attention to tourism development on Harapan Island. This assistance was very useful and useful for attracting tourists to visit.

"We will definitely protect and care for this assistance. Besides the management, we will rent out some of the equipment to tourists to increase income," he said.
