70 Entrepreneurs in Seribu Islands Undergo Socialization of Tourism Business Standards

As many as 70 entrepreneurs in Seribu Islands are undergoing socialization about the standardization of the tourism profession and business. The socialization that has been ongoing since Monday (2/27) and will end on Tuesday (2/28) is programmed by the Seribu Islands Tourism and Creative Economy Sub-agency (Parekraf).

We prompt them to have certification in improving the quality of prime tourism services

Seribu Islands Parekraf Sub-agency Head, Puji Hastuti said the socialization was to provide proper services for tourists and protection for business owners.

"We prompt them to have certification in improving the quality of prime tourism services in Seribu Islands for the safety and comfort of tourists," he said, Tuesday (2/28).

It is participated by entrepreneurs engaged in tour industry and travel, guide, restaurant, and homestay businesses, including Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis). Hopefully, it was expected to increase their income.

"If the business certification has been obtained, the Seribu Islands tourism will be able to act as an entry point for foreign tourists in order to push up tourist visits," he uttered.

Pramuka Island Pokdarwis Chairman, Hermansyah admitted socialization of business standardization is very important, as it can increase the knowledge and insight of business actors about good services ranging from health, hygiene, security, safety, and competitiveness.

"Seribu Islands have been proclaimed a world-class tourist destination in 2024, so standardizing this business is important for us. This is because it increases our knowledge and skills in providing excellent service for tourists," he finished.
