The green belt along Jalan Raya Halim Perdanakusuma, Makasar, now looks even more beautiful after passing through an arrangement stage stated by the East Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency.
And now all that remains is daily maintenance to keep it green and well-maintained
East Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency Head, Djauhar Arifin said the arrangement was carried out, as the area would become the main track for the procession of the Pusaka Flag carnival to IKN led by the President, Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo
According to him, the arrangement started on Wednesday (7/17), involved 250 personnel, and was completed already last week. Nevertheless, maintenance is still ongoing from now on.

He explained the work executed included embroidery on the median section of the road. Then patch the empty area with new plants. In addition, all the trash on the left and right of the road is cleaned and the plants that look dense are arranged.
Makasar Sub-district Parks and City Forest Executing Unit Head, Toto Yulianto added the arrangement was already completed last week. Currently, all that remains is routine maintenance and watering.
"Routine maintenance is conducted, such as cutting grass, pruning Pretty Pink, Pucuk Merah, and Bougainvillea plants," he explained.
Previously, East Jakarta Green Belt and Cemetery Section Acting Head, Randi Putra mentioned that to beautify the area of Jalan Halim Perdanakusuma, his side prepared 5,700 ornamental plants, consisting of Pretty Pink (4,000 polybags), Palm Tree (1,200 polybags), and Pucuk Merah (500 polybags).
"They will be planted at points that look empty. Including replacing dry or dead plants with new ones. Thus, the area still looks attractive," he explained.
Aside that, the Halim Perdanakusuma Airport area would also be maintained with various decorations.
"We send 38 personnel to the location every day," he concluded.
