Rabies Vaccination Given to 75 Animals in Grogol Selatan

The free rabies vaccination held by the South Jakarta Food, Maritime and Agricultural Security Sub-agency (KPKP), in the yard of the South Grogol Urban Village Office, Kebayoran Lama Sub-district, succeeded in reaching 75 animals that transmit rabies.

Kebayoran Lama Sub-district KPKP Sub-agency Executing Unit Head, Medikasari said the rabies vaccination is held to maintain the Rabies Free title.

"This is the third vaccination and free of charge in Kebayoran Lama this week," she expressed, Wednesday (8/21).

In the yard of the South Grogol Urban Village office, her personnel managed to reach 74 cats and one dog.

"Alhamdulillah (thank God), people are very enthusiastic. In the future, we'll hold rabies vaccination again in Kebayoran Lama following the schedule that has been set," she explained.

The vaccination received appreciation from Grogol Selatan Urban Village Secretary, Teuku Aji Mahbrurry.

"I follow this animal vaccination to this day. Many people have told me that free rabies vaccinations like this should be held again routinely," she added.

A thank you came from one of the pet owners, Alifia (24).

"I always vaccinate my cats against rabies. This is important, thus we are healthy and don't get rabies when playing with my pet cat," he stated.
