50 Jakarta MSMEs Facilitated to Market Products

As many as 50 people running MSMEs in Jakarta were given facility to sell their products through Sampoerna Festival UMKM 2024 at garden Sampoerna Strategic Square, Setiabudi, South Jakarta.

Jakarta UKM Board Head for PPKUKM Agency, Adhitya Pratama Yudha, hoped this activity can be a trigger for MSMEs to develop further and their products to be better known to the wider community.

"We want MSMEs as drivers of the economy in Jakarta to continue to grow," he said, Thursday (8/22).

Adhitya said that the MSME sector in 2023 had contributed 61 percent of gross domestic product and absorbed 97 percent of the workforce nationally.

He added that MSMEs in Jakarta must also adapt quickly considering that Jakarta will soon transform into a global city.

"Local products are no longer inferior to foreign products. However, support in developing MSMEs and local products requires continuous real action," he added.

Meanwhile, Sampoerna MSMEs Festival 2024 Committee Head, Luqmanul Hakim, said the festival is held on August 20-23, 2024.

"Participants are 50 Jakpreneurs and 100 MSMEs players from Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi, Medan, Surabaya, and Makasar of fashion and culinary sectors," he said.

The festival is also enlivened with various consulting service facilities which are very important for the continuity of the business of MSME players such as NIB licensing consultation, brands, taxes, halal certification and up to BPOM.

Several awards were also given to Jakarta PPKUKM Agency, South Jakarta PPKUKM Sub-agency, Jakarta Culture Agency, South Jakarta Culture Sub-agency, and so on.
