The Jakarta contingent had to be satisfied with winning two silver medals in the final of the Stand Up Paddle rowing event at PON XXI Aceh - North Sumatra. Masrino competed in the MSUP category, while Aurel Faustasyah Febriana competed in the WSUP category.

The two-category competition was a spectacle full of action and tension, where the athletes showed their best abilities in front of the audience that packed Kapuk Beach, Banda Aceh.

Despite leading the match, the Jakarta team had to be satisfied with finishing in second place after tight competition on the beach.

Aurel Faustasyah Febriana expressed her gratitude to the coach, team, and family for their support so far until she reached this point. She assessed, the results he received now would be a lesson for the future.

"Keep pursuing achievements without breaking your spirit. Maybe you will be more enthusiastic in the future," she expressed, Monday (9/9).

Meanwhile, Masrino expressed his gratitude to the people of Jakarta who had given their full support. He assessed that his supporters' support and encouragement were a big motivation for him to continue fighting and giving his best in the future.

"I haven't been able to give my best, but Alhamdulillah (thank God), I won a silver medal. Hopefully, in the future, I can give my best again for Jakarta," he stressed.

Jakarta DPRD Member, Khoirudin seemed to be present to encourage Masrino and Aurel. He also had the opportunity to present a silver medal to Masrino.

"Congratulations to Jakarta athletes who with hard work, and sportsmanship, have given the best achievements by winning silver for both men and women. Hopefully, the future will be better," he stressed.
