Area Arrangement on Jalan Setapak Reaches 95 Percent

It is targeted to complete next week

The progress of area arrangement on Jalan Setapak, RW 04, Rawajati Urban Village, Pancoran Sub-district, South Jakarta, has reached 95 percent.

Rawajati Urban Village Head, Sariman, said the area arrangement carries theme 'Climate Village' which aims to create a beautiful and green open area.

"We deploy four PPSU personnel everyday to work on the arrangement," he said, Saturday (9/14).

Sariman added that the arrangement is run above 100 square meter land which previously was used as illegal dump site.

"The arrangement also collaborates with South Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency, South Jakarta Water Resource Sub-agency and other stakeholders. It is targeted to complete next week," he added.

He hopes that by arranging the area to be greener, more beautiful and tidier, the community will feel more comfortable.

"I ask residents to help maintain and care for the land that has been arranged. Residents can do urban farming by planting vegetables and fruits for food security," he continued.

Meanwhile, one of local residents, Fahrul (49), appreciated the area arrangement conducted in his area.

"For sure we will take care the area," he stated.
