Jakarta Women's Soft Tennis Wins Second Gold

Soft tennis won its second gold medal in the final match held at the Neusu JASDAM Tennis Court, Tuesday (9/17) night. Meanwhile, the men's team, Bagus Angga and friends only pocketed a silver medal.

Jakarta Women's Team, Julia Michelle Sanger et al., performed brilliantly when they defeated the East Java women's team with a score of 2-0.

"I'm very happy to present gold again. In total, the soft tennis team was able to win two golds and one silver," she expressed, Wednesday (9/18).

Meanwhile, Putu Armini said that this gold medal achievement is the first to be obtained from the women's team category of soft tennis. The woman who serves as a Sergeant in the Indonesian Navy asked that soft tennis athletes not be satisfied with this gold medal achievement. According to her, this success is an encouragement for other athletes to bring more gold medals for Jakarta.

"Thank you to parents, Jakarta KONI, Dispora Jakarta, TNI headquarters, coaches, aspel and friends who have played an important role in our success in bringing home the gold medal at PON XXI," she expressed.

According to her, thanks to the support from various parties, soft tennis finally added gold to Jakarta. She was grateful that his hard work with the team during training and the match produced maximum results.

"The soft tennis final was very exciting and tense. However, we were able to win the match with East Java with a score of 2-0," she explained.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Provincial Board Chairman for the Indonesian Soft Tennis Association (PESTI), Herman Sukmadipura, admitted that he was satisfied with the results of the match against East Java.

"The women's team performed brilliantly. The two complemented each other and collaborated to score the second gold medal for Jakarta," he closed.
