As many as 100 residents from 10 sub-districts in East Jakarta, Wednesday (9/18), participate in culinary art training held by Social Sub-agency at local mayor office. The training that will be held up to Friday (9/20) was opened by East Jakarta Mayor Muhammad Anwar.

Anwar said that this productive economic enterprise training is expected to improve resident welfare, especially small and medium business registered in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS).

"It is hoped that they will be more independent and entrepreneurial after participating the training. Moreover, business competition is also getting tighter," he said.

Anwar hoped the participants who also selling snack are able to develop their business via online.

Acting Jakarta Social Sub-agency Head, Abdul Salam, explained the first day training material was providing theory.

Second day of training will be held tomorrow (9/19) at Duren Sawit Sub-district SKKT Building and participated by residents from Duren Sawit Sub-district, Cakung, Pulogadung, Jatinegara and Matraman, and Cipinang Melayu Urban Village, Makasar Sub-district.

Third day training, Friday (9/20), will be held at PSBI Bangun Daya Dua Ceger and participated by residents from Ciracas Sub-district, Cipayung, Pasar Rebo, Kramat Jati, then Makasar Urban Village, Pinang Ranti and Kebon Pala Makasar Sub-district.

Meanwhile, Acting East Jakarta Social Sub-agency's Social Empowerment and Social Welfare Development Section Head, Leny Maryani Manurung, explained the training invited spokesperson from LPK Taruna Eka Bhakti Sejahtera and East Jakarta Jakpreneur.

"Participants will get cake making equipment after the training such as mixer, steamer, cake mold, oven, and so on," she explained.
