20 Seribu Islands Youths Trained in Open Water Diving

Some 20 youth representatives in North Seribu Islands, participated in open water diving certification training in the waters of Pramuka Island, Panggang Island Urban Village.
It aims to improve the competence of the community
The training, held from Thursday (9/20) to Sunday (9/22) was initiated by the Panggang Marine Tourism Community Empowerment Institution (LKM) together with PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java (PHE ONWJ).
LKM Panggang Maritime Tourism Caretaker, Ahmad Haerudin said the 20 training participants came from Panggang Island, Sabira Island, and Kelapa Island. For three days, they were given class materials and practice from professional diving trainers.

"After graduating, they will get A1 certification," he continued.
North Seribu Islands Sub-district Vice Head, Yulihardi hoped that the high number of diving experts would open up opportunities for underwater tourism destinations so that the economy of the island's residents would increase.
"It can also support all tourism activities," he stated.
Communication, Relations & CID PHE ONWJ Head, Iman Teguh added this diving training is very much needed by the youth in Seribu Islands. He would also continue to consistently encourage economic growth in Seribu Islands.
"Hopefully, it can be beneficial for them, this certification can also add value when they work in the field," he concluded.
