West Jakarta Administration held a simultaneous celebration and harvest of the honey pumpkin planting competition. It was held face-to-face and online, Monday (9/23).

This is an extraordinary activity

The competition was centered at RPTRA Manggis, Jalan Anggrek Rosliana, RT 01/15, Kemanggisan, Palmerah, West Jakarta. The program was also attended by West Jakarta Mayor, Uus Kuswanto; West Jakarta TP PKK Chairwoman, Lisniawati Uus, and TP PKK's Chairwoman III of Family Food Security, Komariah Marullah.

"This is an extraordinary activity. It is hoped West Jakarta TP PKK programs can be continued by utilizing land in RPTRA and other empty land for food security while improving the family economy," Uus said.

West Jakarta TP PKK Chairwoman, Lisniawati Uus Kuswanto, stated honey pumpkin fruit has become an icon of West Jakarta since 2021.

"Today we harvested 500 hone pumpkins from eight RPTRAs and eight gardening class at eight sub-districts in West Jakarta, she stated.

During the competition, the honey pumpkin was also made into processed foods, pudding, juice, various cake and so on.

West Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Novy C Palit, explained the competition was participated by eight RPTRA caretakers and eight gardening classes.

- RPTRA Taman Apel (Tanjung Duren Utara)

- RPTRA Ceria (Cengkareng Barat)

- RPTRA Matahari (Maphar)

- RPTRA Krendang (Krendang)

- RPTRA Manunggal (Meruya Selatan)

- RPTRA Alur Anggrek (Tegal Alur)

- RPTRA Dupa Wangi (Duri Kepa)

Then participants for gardening classes are;

- RW 03 Jelambar Urban Village

- RW 01 Kemanggisan

- Yon Hub RW 04 Kelapa Dua

- Sedap Malam RW 06 Srengseng

- RW 02 Cengkareng Timur

- Teratai RW 03 Tegal Alur

- PKK Krendang

- RW 05 Mangga Besar
