2 Entertainment Venues in C. Jakarta Have No the Fire Safety Standards

Around 15 officers of Central Jakarta Tourism and Culture Sub-Department raided several entertainment venues such as massage and spa in Roxy area, Pasar Baru and Raden Saleh. The officers found some entertainment venues which have no fire safety standard. Yet they have operational license.

"We just do data collection, guidance and monitoring, including its license, whether it is ever used for prostitution place or not," said Head of Industry Guidance Division for Central Jakarta Tourism and Culture Sub-Department, Ahmad Surya, Friday (5/8) night.

Surya added, despite those five venues have license, yet two of them have no fire safety standard such as unavailable of fire extinguisher tool and emergency exit door.

"We warned them to immediately meet the safety standard in accordance with the procedure," he expressed.

Thus far, his sub-department is currently only conducting monitoring. While for license processing, was already done through the One-Stop Integrated Service (PTSP).

"Our duty today is merely doing monitoring and license processing in the PTSP," he finished.
