The Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency (SDA), completed the normalization work of a 100-meter-long channel on both sides of Jalan Danau Danplas, RT 18/04, Bendungan Hilir Urban Village, Tanah Abang, Monday (9/23).

Tanah Abang Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Eli Menawan Sari said that the normalization was done, because personnel found many parts of the sheet pile's walls damaged and collapsed.

"We replace the channel structure with U-ditch," she expressed, Tuesday (9/24).

She explained it has been ongoing since Thursday (8/15) which involved ten personnel.

The work above received appreciation from one of the residents from RW 04, Bendungan Hilir Urban Village, Rahmat.

"Hopefully, it can minimize flooding when it rains, especially heavy rain," he hoped.
