Bahari Museum Holds Fashion Show

The fashion show is held in the Original Boat Collection Room, Bahari Museum, Jalan Pasar Ikan, Penjaringan, North Jakarta.

Jakarta Bahari Museum Technical Unit Head, Mis'Ari, appreciated the fashion show held using the Jarit clothing brand in collaboration with the Jakarta Culture Agency.

"This is special because of how to use the Maritime Museum through this fashion show activity, not only targeting school students, but also mothers who are holding a fashion show today," he expressed.

Many Events to Enliven Bahari Museum's 47th Anniversary

According to him, about 100 invitees were consisting of designers, and communities from the Greater Jakarta. The invitees and participants who attended were not only enjoying the fashion show but also came to know the existence of Bahari Museum with its collections that can be used as a source of inspiration.

"This fashion show is also a means of promoting the Maritime Museum to the public," he explained.

Brand Jarit Owner, Rere Woelandari uttered that the Bahari Museum was chosen because the museum is beautiful and is a cultural heritage that can be used as a place for fashion shows.

"We are displaying 36 batik motif outfits made from environmentally friendly cotton and silk materials," she said.
