100 Participants Take Part in Exploring Bahari MuseumThe main events commemorating the Bahari Museum's anniversary include the launch of the 47th Bahari Museum commemorative logo, sports, arts and cultural competitions and the highlight of the Jakarta Spice Route Exploration event in the form of a walking tour of a historical object (the spice warehouse). Then there was also an innovation and collaboration talkshow which was held for economic development in the ecosystem around the museum with the IHHCH and IYMPF communities with participants from Karang Taruna Penjaringan.
The event continued with the closing of Bahari On Screen and the Screening Lot of Fun talkshow. Art performance with the Karang Taruna Penjaringan community. Jakarta Culture Agency Head, Iwan Henry Wardhana, during his online greeting, said Jakarta Bahari Museum commemorates its 47th anniversary this year.
"The Bahari Museum's care and dedication is shown to not only preserve history, but also inspire future generations to appreciate our heritage. Happy 47th birthday to the Jakarta Bahari Museum! Hopefully the existence of the Bahari Museum will continue to provide light for the rich culture of all of us," he said, Tuesday (7/9).
Meanwhile, Jakarta Bahari Museum Management Unit Head, Mis'ari admitted that he is grateful because he is still able to continue to struggle to maintain and introduce the Bahari Museum to the public and future generations with various public programs and the addition of several supporting facilities in the museum.
"We also express our gratitude to all the people who care so that together we advance the Bahari Museum for the continuity of Indonesian maritime history and culture," he stated.
He explained that one event that should not be missed is the launch of the naming of the Bahari Museum Hall after Ir H Djuanda which will be attended by representatives of Ir H Djuanda's family.
"This is a milestone for the Bahari Museum in its 47th year to further increase its role as an agent for inheriting maritime historical values. The Djuanda Declaration is an important historical trace in the history of Indonesian maritime sovereignty in world forums. This is what inspired to give that name for museum's hall," he added.
The 47th anniversary of the Bahari Museum is also a momentum to appreciate the cooperation of various parties, including the government, local communities and donors who have supported the development and preservation of the museum's collections.
"We also invite the entire community, especially lovers of maritime history and culture, to join in this celebration and together trace the Indonesia's rich and diverse maritime history," he stated.
