Fire Burns Resident House in Duren Sawit

Firefighters from the East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-agency (Gulkarmat) managed to extinguish the fire that burned down a resident's house on Jalan Madrasah 2, Klender, Duren Sawit, Thursday (9/26), at around 8.04 AM.

East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-agency's Operation Section Head, Abdul Wahid said the fire came out when the homeowner was going to fix the MCB of the electric meter. Suddenly, there was an electrical short circuit in one of the rooms until the fire finally occurred.
"The previous day, the MCB in the house had a problem. The plan was to fix it this morning, but suddenly the room turned on," he expressed.

"We have controlled the situation within 8.38 AM or half an hour after the incident," he added.
