200 Vehicles Targeted to Participate Emission Test in W. Jakarta

West Jakarta Environment Sub-agency conducted emission test for four and two-wheeled vehicles at West Jakarta Mayor Office, Jalan Raya Kembangan, Kembangan Sub-district, Thursday (9/26).

West Jakarta Environment Sub-agency Head, Achmad Hariyadi, said the city-level emission test has been held twice this year. Last implementation was in April.

"Today we target 200 vehicles to participate the emission test. It is held one day and free," he said.

67 Vehicles in South Jakarta Undergo Emission Test

The program was held from 9 AM to 3 PM. There were 12 vehicles, up to 10:30 AM, participating the test. Those were eight gasoline-fueled and one diesel-fueled cars, as well as three motorcycles.

"It is hoped the emission will handle the air pollution in Jakarta," he added.

Edward (44), one of the civil servants, appreciated the emission test held today.

"I brought the office vehicles of Mangga Besar Urban Village. The vehicle passed the test," he admitted.
