20 Motorcycles Illegally Parked in Glodok Controlled

West Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency controlled 20 motorcycles parked illegally along the sidewalk of Jalan Pancoran, Glodok Urban Village, Taman Sari Sub-district, Monday (10/7).

Taman Sari Sub-district's Transportation Implementer Commander, Aceng, admitted his side routinely hold illegal parking controlling for two and four-wheeled vehicles. One of the targeted locations was on Jalan Pancoran.

"The controlling is aimed to implement Bylaw No 8/2007 about Public Order in Jakarta," he admitted.

As the result, 20 motorcycles illegally parked on Jalan Pancoran were controlled and flattened.

His side also persuasively prevent the vehicle owners to park on forbidden area. Jakarta Provincial Government has prepared parking locations for vehicles.

"It is hoped the operation will give deterrent effect for vehicle owners," he stated.
