Dispora to Provide Special Team to Face Peparnas XVIII 2028

After winning the third place at National Paralympic Week (Peparnas) XVII Solo, Jakarta Youth and Sport Agency is about to provide special team ahead of Peparnas XVIII in NTT and NTB.

Jakarta Youth and Sport Agency Head, Andri Yansyah, said the special team will prepare athletes and officials to compete in 20 sports later. Usually, Jakarta only participated for 13 sports during Peparnas.

"No matter where the Peparnas is held, we must participate in all branches," he said, Monday (10/14).  

Jakarta Contingent Wins Third Place in Peparnas XVII Solo

In order to achieve the target, he added, his side will cooperate with KONI, Jakarta Social Agency, and Jakarta NPC. It means preparing all related to rhe disabled athletes.

"Team must be created as soon as possible to recruit athletes and officals for further coaching for the sake of higher achievement," he added.

According to him, winning third place in Peparnas XVII Solo is extraordinary since initial target was only top five.

"I appreciate the athletes for give us this extraordinary achievement," he stated.
