Traffic Diversion in Place for Motorists at Some Roads to Smoothen JSDP Work

The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) applies traffic diversion on some road sections in connection with the continuation of Jakarta Sewerage Development Project (JSDP) Zone 1 Package 5 (area 2-1) work by Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Agency.
Road users should avoid these road sections
The work network map starts from August 2023 to December 2026 and is conducted in stages. The types of work are test pit, soil investigation, excavation work, steel sheet pile work, road deck work at certain points and jacking. There are two types of excavation work, namely arriving shaft and driving shaft.

To avoid traffic congestion on Jalan Mangga Besar II, the following traffic engineering is implemented:
• During the work on Jalan Mangga Besar II, Jalan Mangga Besar IV E, which was originally subject to a One-Way System to the East, was changed to a Two-Way System so that road users from Jalan Raya Mangga Besar who are going to Jalan Mangga Besar II can go via Jalan Mangga Besar IV - Jalan Mangga Besar IV E
• For goods vehicles from Jalan Raya Mangga Besar heading to Jalan Mangga Besar II, they can go via Jalan Mangga Besar IV-Jalan Taman Sari X
"After the work is completed, the road conditions will be restored so that vehicles can pass through," he uttered.
Then, on Jalan Matraman Dalam, traffic diversion is implemented as follows:
• Two-wheeled vehicles can still pass, for four-wheeled vehicles, traffic that previously used Jalan Matraman Dalam is diverted via Jalan Matraman I - Jalan Matraman II and so on.
He added that during the work, there would be a reduction/narrowing of the road with dimensions of the work area of 40x5 meters and at certain locations the road would be widened to increase the road capacity.
"Road users should avoid these road sections and adjust to the traffic arrangements that have been set, obey traffic signs, instructions from officers in the field and prioritize road safety," he stated.
