Channel Dredging on Jalan Pejompongan III Completed

Tanah Abang Sub-district's Water Resource Taskforce, Central Jakarta, has completed the channel dredging along 150 meter on Jalan Pejompongan III RW 05, Bendungan Hilir Urban Village.

Tanah Abang Sub-district's Water Resource Implementer Unit Head, Eli Menawan Sari said the channel dredging was started on October 21 and completed on November 3.

Due to limited channel capacity, Eli added, the area was often inundated during heavy rain.
"The mud thickness reached 40 cm. It limited the channel capacity," Eli added.
One of RW 05 residents of Bendungan Hilir Urban Village, Rahmat, appreciated the channel dredging in his area. He hopes the newly dredged water channel will stop the inundation.
"Now the channel becomes cleaner. Hopefully there will be no more inundation here," he admitted.
