399 Pets Get Anti Rabies Vaccine in West Jakarta

West Jakarta Food Security, Maritime and Agriculture Sub-agency Head, Novy C Palit said the vaccination was given to maintain Jakarta as free rabies city status since 2004.
The vaccination activities were held in four urban villages namely Kalideres, Keagungan, Kembangan Utara and Cengkareng Timur. The vaccinated pets were dogs, cats, and monkeys.

Novy added the vaccination is free of charge. It is in accordance with Minister of Agriculture Decree No 566/Kpts/PD.640/10/2004 about statement of Jakarta free from rabies.
"We remain conducting effort to maintain Jakarta status as free rabies city," she stated.
