Residents' Land in Rawajati for Ciliwung River Normalization Recorded

The Jakarta Provincial Government is conducting initial data collection on the planned land acquisition location for the normalization of the Ciliwung River in Rawajati Urban Village, Pancoran Sub-dstrict, South Jakarta.
Activities run smoothly
Sub-Coordinator for Complaint Handling Affairs, General Government Bureau, Ebron Leonard Sirait said the initial data collection was aimed at ensuring land ownership based on existing data, namely, 166 plots with an area of 51,694 square meters.
"This data collection is a follow-up to the Governor's Decree Number 773/2024 on the Land Acquisition Preparation Team for the Normalization of Ciliwung River in Rawajati," he expressed, Monday (11/11).

After the data collection, from November 11-12, 2024, in Rawajati, a public consultation would be held regarding reaching an understanding and agreement.
"We also involve the local government, BPN, environmental management, and related agencies so that activities run smoothly," he explained.
Rawajati Urban Village Head, Sariman hoped that all stages of the process, starting from socialization, data collection, public consultation, and others, could run smoothly. So, later no party would feel disadvantaged.
He added that currently the data collection process for 166 areas carried out by the preparation team from the Jakarta Government is being carried out in the areas of RW 07, 03, 06, and 08.
"I think the residents have welcomed it well and are enthusiastic about following all the processes. In essence, the residents also support the government's program, especially the normalization of the river in overcoming puddles and floods," he said.
