Inaugurated Officials Performance Monitored in 6 Months

Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok’ Tjahaja Purnama inaugurated around 649 echelon III and IV officials at City Hall, Monday (5/18) morning. The inauguration is aimed to increase public service in capital.

300 New Echelon III and IV Officials will Be Inaugurated

Those 649 echelon officials inaugurated based on the echelon II recommendation in improving the performance. “I told them (echelon II) that they can promote the person who consider capable assist their job,” he said at City hall, Monday (5/18).

The former Regent of East Belitung admitted that he will evaluate those newly promoted officials performance within 6 months. The evaluation will be measured based on public service increasing.

“In case of it doesn’t work, it means the echelon II recommendation cannot be justified. Because they given chance to choose their subordinate,” he asserted.

Ahok explained, after the inauguration, his side will accomodate all complaints from echelon III and IV officials related to their boss performance in each regional working unit (SKPD).

“Within 6 months evaluation, we will find out their complaints about their boss performance,” he told.

According to him, City Secretary, Saefullah will participate to supervise the officials performance. Those who are under-performing will be demoted or transferred. “Those echelon II that aren’t show their good performance, will be demoted,” he expressed.

Ahok hoped, through bureaucratic reform city public could run well, especially the service in One-Stop-Integrated Service in sub-district and urban village.

“education still have to be a number one issue to be prioritized, small and medium scale entrepreneur must be guidance, transportation, regulation, flood as well as waste problem must be tackled,” he said.

Relaying on beritajakarta.com, newly promoted echelon III officials will put in 25 different regional working units. While others echelon IV will be assigned into 38 regional working units. During the inauguration, there are 196 newly promoted officials and for others 433 officials are rotated, 19 person are mutated, while 57 demoted officials were not inaugurated.
