The Jakarta student athlete contingent won 18 gold, 15 silver and eight bronze medals in the Pre-National Student Sport Week (Pra Popnas) zone II in Solo, Central Java, from November 12-18.

Jakarta Sport and Youth Agency Head, Andri Yansyah, appreciated the struggle and dedication shown by athletes and officials in this sporting event.

"On behalf of the Sport and Youth Agency, Jakarta Provincial Government, and residents, I would like to thank all athletes who have struggle for Jakarta," he said, Monday (11/18).

As many as 141 Jakarta student athletes participated in 49 match numbers from eight sports. Those are pencak silat, boxing, badminton, tennis, sepak takraw, basketball, volleyball and football.

He added that many lessons and evaluations were taken from each sports during the game.

"It is our preparation to win the overall champion at Popnas 2025 in Aceh, North Sumatera," he stated.
