City Council's Banggar Discusses RAPBD 2025 Study Result

Less urgent programs should be postponed

Five commissions of Jakarta City Council delivered recommendation of commissions' discussion result related to Regional Budget Draft 2025 during Budget Committee (Banggar) meeting at Jakarta City Council Building.

Commission A Agrees on 2025 Draft Regional Budget for Working Partners of Rp 14 Trillion

The recommendations submitted were the result of discussions by all Commissions with partner Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD). The meeting was led by Jakarta City Council's Budget Committee Chairman, Khoirudin, who was accompanied by Budget Committee Deputy Ima Mahdiah, Wibi Andrino, and Basri Baco.

Commission A requested Jakarta Provincial Government, as one of the recommendations, to prioritize budget for programs that have direct impact on public services.

"Less urgent programs should be postponed to give allocation for relevant and user-friendly needs," said Commission A Deputy, Alia Noorayu Laksono, Friday (11/22) night.

Related to stunting handling, Commission A also recommends that Jakarta Provincial Government run a more comprehensive approach. Not only improving nutritional needs, but also improving the living environment such as providing clean water and good sanitation.

Commission A proposes that Jakarta Provincial Government can mobilize its resources and programs to handle stunting by including specific intervention and sensitive intervention.

Then Commission B conveyed that final recommendation budget of the RKA/Raperda APBD 2025 for its working partner is Rp 11.65 trillion with and additional Rp 151.8 billion. One of commission's recommendation is asking Tourism and Creative Economy Agency to increase the attractiveness of tourist destinations.

"Infrastructure is the development priority. It means this agency also needs budget allocations for facilities and infrastructures maintenance or rehabilitation. It includes tourism destination management towards Jakarta as a Global City, and increasing the number of Tourist Information Center," said Commission B Chairman, Nova Harivan Paloh.

Commission C recommended Jakarta City Park and Forestry Agency to take firm action against individuals who collect illegal levies in the form of funeral fees such as booking and digging a grave. The commission also requested funeral fees and ambulance to be free.

Furthermore, Commission D conveyed that final recommendation budget for final Raperda APBD 2025 is Rp 18 trillion. The commission also delivered its recommendation for all working partners.

One of the recommendations is encourage Public Housing and Residential Agency to increase the budget allocation for light maintenance needs of Rusunawa to ensure the safety and comfort of residents.

"Commission D supports the strengthening of budget allocations to accelerate residential management," said Commission D Chairman, Yuke Yurike.

Meanwhile, Commission E conveyed final recommendation of Raperda APBD 2025 budget allocation is Rp 34.6 trillion.

The commission also delivered recommendation for its working partner, Jakarta Empowerment, Child Protection and Population Handling Agency to add more Sapa Post at areas prone to sexual violence such as in transportation, parks, and bus terminals.
