"We need to improve performance," he said, during providing direction related to Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of Performance and Budget Absorption in 2024, Thursday (11/21).

Marullah appealed that the work to be completed as soon as possible based on applicable rules and regulations.

"Obtaining support for implementation such as regulation can be obtained through communication between regional working units with higher agencies," he added.

He also reminded that various risks should be mitigated against potential failures in budget spending. High budget spending must also have a good impact on society.

"Innovation and breakthrough are needed when there is potential failure in budget spending," he continued.

Related to Jakarta Provincial Government's Domestic Product spending, Marullah explained that it has reached Rp 24.22 trillion or around 75.52 percent out of Domestic Product spending as per November 19, 2024.

"We need another 4.9 percent to reach minimum 80 percent of Domestic Product spending based on President instruction," he explained.

Marullah reminded that the government's instructions are a reference for budget implementation and its realization. Therefore, the commitment to optimal budget realization must be pursued.

At the same moment, Marullah also appreciated all Regional Working Units for completing the work target.

"This good performance can also determine the compliance of the community as taxpayers in fulfilling their obligations," he stated.
