The Jakarta Environment Agency (LH) held a free emission test on Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan, Pegangsaan Dua Urban Village, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, Tuesday (12/3). This time, they targeted 400 four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles in the emission test.

Jakarta LH Agency Acting Head, Sarjoko stated there were no sanctions against vehicles that failed the emissions test, but vehicle owners were only asked to maintain their vehicles in order to minimize air pollution in Jakarta.

The emission test above received appreciation from North Jakarta Mayor, Ali Maulana Hakim. Despite there being no sanctions, it is important as part of socialization and education to reduce pollution.
Therefore, the public was urged to routinely maintain their vehicle engines. Besides pollution, they were also urged not to burn and throw garbage carelessly to maintain environmental sustainability.
"If it can minimize private vehicles in the city and ride the public transportation. Then, don't forget to plant trees in our surrounding environment," he asserted.
BRI Finance Main Director, Wahyudi Darmawan asserted his party's involvement in this activity is a form of social responsibility. Moreover, it is in line with his company's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles.
