Central Jakarta Administration held socialization of PAM Jaya 2024 tariff adjustment, at local mayor office, Tuesday (12/3).

The socialization was led by Central Jakarta Assistant of Economy and Development, Bakwan Ferizan Ginting.

Ginting said the socialization is based on Governor Regulation No 730/2024.

"The socialization invited representatives of sub-district and urban village to give complete information to residents," he said.

He also emphasized the importance of public understanding of the importance of adjusting PAM Jaya rates. It is hoped that clean water services will improve in the future with the adjustment of PAM Jaya rates.

"Water is a basic need that must be met evenly and the community also has an obligation to support the sustainability of this service. Everyone must support each other," he added.

Meanwhile, PAM Jaya's Senior Manager Corporate Communication, Gatra Vaganza stated tariff adjustment will not impact to household needs.

"Tariff for simple household customers has decreased from Rp 1,050 to Rp 1,000 per cubic meter for use of up to the first 10 cubic meters," he stated.

According to him, his side is adjusting the tariff for the first time since 2007.

"The tariff adjustment that will be implemented in January 2025 is part of our efforts heading to 100 percent clean water service coverage in Jakarta," he added.

He hopes residents are able to use PAM Jaya service well.
