Jakarta DPRD Commission A Vice Chairwoman, Alia Noorayu Laksono is optimistic that synergy with the Jakarta Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) will smooth the celebration of Christmas and New Year.

According to her, the related police, national army (TNI), and regional apparatus organizations (OPDs) must take anticipatory measures to disrupt public security and order (Kamtibmas).

"I want them to monitor residents' activities to avoid excessive euphoria," she expressed, Tuesday (12/10).

It could also be optimized by using technology to anticipate potential security and order disruptions as early as possible.

"Don't do negative things when celebrating the new year, especially consuming alcohol and drugs," she explained.

Jakarta DPRD Commissiom A Legislator, Inad Luciawati urged the public to be tolerant of other people who will run worship and celebrate Christmas, thus it becomes more conducive and safe.

"We all have to play a role in securing Christmas celebrations," she asserted.

Another Legislator in the Commission A, Zahrina Nurbaiti hoped that Christians could hold Christmas services solemnly and with a sense of security.

"Please do it well. Insya Allah (God willing), everything will be safe and conducive," she hoped.
