The North Jakarta administration handled the emergency response to the tidal wave disaster in the Muara Angke area of Pluit.

North Jakarta Vice Mayor, Juaini explained that besides minimizing flooding, his party distributed in-kind assistance and food to affected residents.
According to him, the efforts made included building three units of sodetan (crossing channels) and cleaning micro channels in Muara Angke. It was done to smoothen the flow of water from the micro channel to the Muara Angke Reservoir to be channeled into the sea.

Aside that, the North Jakarta SDA Sub-agency also had attached three mobile pumps in Muara Angke area. Two of them have 400 cubic liters per second power and the other one has 20,000 cubic liters per second power.
He added the Pluit Urban Village has also sent 165 personnel of PPSU to clean channels and manage traffic flow in the area. "They are also ready to help residents if evacuation is needed," he added.
On Friday (12/13), the North Jakarta Social Agency (Dinsos) provided packaged rice meals to assist affected residents with quantities ranging from 1,500 to 2,100 packs every day.
The in-kind assistance provided was 10 sacks of rice, 10 pouches of cooking oil, 10 boxes of instant noodles, 10 boxes of mineral water, 20 cans of fish, 10 bottles of soy sauce, and 20 packs of biscuits. They could be added according to field needs.

His party had also prepared joint personnel to clean up the environment after the flooding.
"After the flood, we will deploy joint personnel to help residents clean the environment," he closed.
