The Five's Choir of SMPK 5 BPK Penabur Jakarta amazed and entertained the public with their Christmas Carol performance at Sarinah, Jalan Wahid Hasyim, Central Jakarta.

During their performance, the choir who won 1st place in the Children's Choir Category of the 2024 Church Festival Competition at Jakarta Provincial Level, was given direct appreciation by Acting Jakarta Provincial Secretary's Assistant for Public Welfare, Suharini Eliawati.
Residents Appreciate Christmas CarolEli who attended the event with Jakarta Regional Secretariat's Regional Cooperation Bureau Head, Marulina Dewi, thanked the enthusiasm and participation of community for watching the Five's Choir performance who consists of children aged 11-14 years.
"This is an extraordinary performance from the group to let the passerby enjoy the cool and cheerful atmosphere of Christmas celebrations," she said, Friday (12/20).
Eli added that Jakarta Provincial Government supports and wants the participation of all community elements in every big holiday celebration.
According to Eli, diversity and high tolerance between religious communities, especially in Jakarta, is reflected through the event.
"This is a proud event for the Jakarta Provincial Government since it can bring joy for the community," Eli added.
Meanwhile, the Five's Choir Coach, Sirma Ulina Ginting, admitted her side has prepared the performance well.
As many as 30 students of class VII up to IX performed at least 45 minutes to sing four Christmas carol songs.
"We can perform the songs well since we practiced a lot during class hours. Then we also have performed it in existing championship," she admitted.
