90's Songs Entertain Residents on Jakarta Bernostalgia Stage

Jakarta Provincial Government presents various entertainment stages in welcoming 2025 by carrying theme 'Semarak Jakarta Mendunia: Menyongsong 5 Abad Jakarta (Jakarta Goes Global: Welcoming Jakarta's 5th Century)

It brings my memory back

One of the stages namely Jakarta Bernostalgia located at Fx Building, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Gelora Urban Village, Central Jakarta.

Visitors are entertained with popular songs from the 90's to 2000's according to stage's name.

Transjakarta Route Adjusted for New Year`s Eve

The performing bands like Daylife, Ten 2 Five, Adikara, Musafat, Soulvibe, Rosemary, and Yannez Hendrawan successfully brings the old memories through their hit songs.

A number of famous local and foreign musicians' popular songs take the visitors to remember the memories of that era.

The visitors sang along as several old local songs were performed such as the Dahulu song by The Groove, Anak Sekolah popularized by Chrisye, Salah from Potret, Pandangan Pertamma popularized by RAN, and Berharap Tak Berpisah by Reza Artamevia.

Moreover, international songs such as Baby by Britney Spears and Love Never Felt So Good by Michael Jackson also made the atmosphere lively.

Based on beritajakarta monitoring, there were not only the 90s generation, but the millennial generation also attended the stage.

Many of the visitors also brought their families including children. It created family-friendly nuance in the stage area.

The visitors were not only from Jakarta, they also came from outside Jakarta. Brando (37), who came with his wife and child, admitted that Jakarta Provincial Government has impressed him by presenting entertainment to celebrate new year.

"We did not expect this since we also did not know about his. The songs came from my era. It brings my memory back. I am staying around here to enjoy the new year celebration with my wife and child," he admitted.

He added that the event entertains them much and becomes a moment for parents to acknowledge their children to the music of his age.

Meanwhile, Shifa (29), a visitor from Cibubur, also said something similar. She accidentally stopped by after having dinner near the stage area.

"This is the most interesting stage since I already read all the stage lists. The most memorable for me is Love Never Felt So Good by Michael Jackson. I do love the music and the lyrics are relatable to my life," she admitted.
