On January 2, 2025, the cheap market was held in Rawa Terate Urban Village, Duren Tiga, Sungai Bambu and Cengkareng Barat. Then on January 3, 2025 is in Utan Kayu Selatan, Bangka, Ancol, and Tanjung Duren Utara Urban Villages.

Jakarta Food Security, Maritime and Agriculture Agency Head, Suharini Eliawati said the program is held to reduce inflation as well as support residents fulfilling their daily needs in affordable price.

"Cheap market is our effort in stabilizing basic need prices," she said, Thursday (1/2).

Eli added that the importance of cross-agency collaboration in providing real solution for residents is shown through collaboration with Bank Indonesia.

"Hopefully the program will lighten residents' burden as well as support food security program in Jakarta," she added.
