Central Jakarta Water Resource (SDA) Sub-agency ensures 108 stationary pump units in eight sub-districts are in well condition and ready to face the peak of rainy season.

Central Jakarta SDA Sub-agency Head, Adrian Mara Maulana explained 108 stationary pumps have various capacity from 50 liter per second up to 6,700 liter per second.

"All pump condition are good and ready to operate. Each pump houses have different number of pump, starting from three to 10 units," he said, Friday (1/10).

Not only stationary pumps, Andrian added that his side also prepares 19 mobile pumps with capacity from 150 to 500 liter per second.

Meanwhile, Central Jakarta SDA Sub-agency's Drainage Maintenance Section Head, Citrin Indriati stated her side has dredged 239 channels as anticipation of inundation and flood.

Then improving channel at 581 locations, increasing channel capacity in 41 locations and normalizing 297 channels.

"We appeal residents not to throw garbage carelessly on the channel or river," she appealed.
