Jakarta Receives Grant of Two Counseling Service Cars

Those counseling cars were directly handed over by PT Hanwa Life Indonesia to the Jakarta Empowerment, Child Protection and Population Control Agency (PPAPP).
Acting Governor, Teguh Setyabudi expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the synergy that has been running between the Jakarta Government and PT Hanwa Life Indonesia.

Based on data from the Center for the Protection of Women and Children, there was an increase in cases of violence against women and children in 2024, reaching 2,041 cases.
"De facto, the actual number is greater than that recorded as many people do not dare to report the incidents they have actually experienced," he explained.
He explained his agency remains committed to preventing and handling integration-based violence involving women and children.
"We already have a Jakarta Call Center on standby 112 as a complaint service for legal and psychological assistance as a referral to safe houses and health facilities," he explained.
He keeps working to improve protective services for communities experiencing violence.
"They (cars) are provided to create a door to door counseling service for women and children, as well as a safe and comfortable family environment in Jakarta that is friendly to women, children, families, and people with disabilities, and can also be a vehicle for sustainable learning for families. We also hope that it can improve access to services, speed up case handling and increase public awareness of the importance of reporting cases of violence," he added.
He added SAPA car is a real commitment from Jakarta Government to improve counseling services for women and children in Jakarta. Because, the role of women and children is very important and strategic, especially in efforts to realize the city of Jakarta as a global city.
"Once again, I would like to thank the Governor and everyone involved. Hopefully, the synergy that has been made can continue to be improved," he exclaimed.
Hanwha Life Korea Vice President Director, Hong Jung Pyo uttered that since entering the Indonesian market in 2012, Hanwa Life has made various CSR activities for sustainable community development, especially for the Protection of Women and Children.
"Today we came to Jakarta City Hall to donate two SAPA cars to pave the way for better services for women and children," he explained.
The car was designed to provide mental health counseling, independence support programs and a dining and rest area so it would be more than just a mode of transportation and a symbol of support that reaches out to the community directly.
"They will be closer to the needy, specially we hope that the cars provide better mental and emotional health support for women and children who are having difficulty accessing this kind of assistance," he closed.
