The Central Jakarta City administration inaugurated the operation of washing and sanitation facilities (MCK) on Jalan Kepu Timur GG Mantri 2, RW 09, Kemayoran Urban Village, Sunday (1/19).

This newly completed facility has 10 bathroom and latrines, as well as one washing area.
Central Jakarta Mayor, Arifin hoped that this restroom facility could encourage people to adopt a clean and healthy lifestyle.

They were also urged to educate their kids not to defecate in inappropriate places. This was important to build awareness of clean and healthy living from an early age.

Central Jakarta SDA Sub-agency Head, Adrian Mara Maulana explained the restroom facility was built in October 2024. They would accommodate 10 households with a total of 50 people in the surrounding area.
In 2024, they built four restrooms and 14 septic bio-tanks.
"In total, 281 households became beneficiaries of the toilets development and communal septic tanks. This is part of our efforts to support the acceleration of the stop open defecation program," he said.
