Rawa Terate Public Cemetery (TPU) on Jalan TPU Cantang, RT 15/04 Rawa Terate, Cakung, East Jakarta will be officially operated in February 2025.

"This public cemetery can accommodate 1,800 new graves,"

East Jakarta City Park and Forestry (Tamhut) Sub-district's Green Lane and Cemetery Section Head, Made Widhi Adnyana Surya Pratita conveyed, after the land was acquired in 2023, his side immediately built an area of 11,390 square meters into Rawa Terate Public Cemetery to meet the needs of residents for a public cemetery.

"With an area of 11,390 square meters, this public cemetery can accommodate 1,800 new graves," he said, Monday (1/20).

According to him, the inauguration of its operation will be carried out by Jakarta Tamhut Agency Head.

"Hopefully, with the operation of this new public cemetery, local residents will not be overwhelmed when looking for a cemetery," he stated.
