Public Enthusiasm for KLG Transjakarta Remains High

PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) recorded more than 17 million recipients of the Free Service Card (KLG) by the end of 2024. It means that public enthusiasm for the card remains high.

Transjakarta's Operational and Safety Director, Daud Joseph said the card keeps increasing every year, especially for elderly category. The user of this category up to December 2024 reached 30,707 or 91 percent higher compared to previous year by 16,074 users.

In South Jakarta, there are 3,702 card users in elderly category, then 311 user in PAUD Teacher category, and 223 users in Jumantik category.

"People with disability category by 122 users," he said, Thursday (1/23).

According to him, Transjakarta service in South Jakarta has reached 80.40 percent population with 81.21 percent of total area width has been served by Transjakarta.

"Transjakarta has served more than 1.3 million users per day up to end of 2024," he added.

He explained that Transjakarta has total 7,790 bus stops spread in all Jakarta areas. East Jakarta area has the most bus stops by 2,348, while South Jakarta has 1,877 bus stops.

"Then West Jakarta has 1,358 bus stops, Central Jakarta 796 bus stops and North Jakarta has 1,411 bus stops," he explained.

He continued that Adam Malik Bus Stop serving Ciledug-Tendean (Corridor 13) becomes the busiest bus stop with total customer 7,049 people per day for the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service in South Jakarta.

"Next busiest bus stops are CSW Bus Stop by 6,035 customers per day and Ragunan Bus Stop by 5,676 customer per day," he stated.
