Two Parks in East Jakarta Ready to Operate 24 Hours

East Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency has prepared two parks to operate 24 hours everyday. The operation remains waiting the regulation from Jakarta Provincial Government.

East Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency Head, Dwi Ponangsera, explained that the two parks are Simpang UKU Park on Jalan Utan Kayu Raya No. 12, RT 12/05, Utan Kayu Utara, Matraman, and Humaniora Park on southern side of Jalan Supriyadi RT 07/05 Susukan Urban Village, Ciracas.

Residents and SMEs Agree on 24-hour Operations at Langsat Park

According to her, those parks are located on a busy main road and close to residential. The parks also have adequate facilities.

The Simpang UKU Park by 800 square meter has facilities such as skate park, shelter, children playground, jogging track, and outdoor sports.

Then the Humaniora Park by 1,836.16 square meter is equipped with library and hall. Other facilities are multi-function yard with basketball ring, children playground, bike park, jogging track and security post.

"We're still cooperating with many sides including the security," she said, Monday (2/3).

She added that the cooperation must be held in order to add supporting facilities such as spotlight, free wifi, and security officer.

"One sub-district will prepare at least one park to operate 24 hours," she added.

Her side cooperates with Satpol PP, RT/RW caretaker, LMK, FKDM for the security matter.

"We also appeal the visitors to maintain the park cleanliness," she stated.
