118 Pothole Points in Senen Repaired

Road repairs keep being intensified in several areas of Central Jakarta. One of them is in Senen Sub-district, where 118 potholes repaired during January 2025.

Senen Sub-district Bina Marga Executing Unit Head, Heni Kustiah explained the condition of road damage was mostly triggered by floods during the current rainy season.

"Our personnel conduct sweeping every day, and as a result, they have successfully repaired 118 potholes," she said, Monday (2/3).

Two Damaged Roads Repair in Cilincing Completed

She explained, the repair was on Jalan Letjend Suprapto, Kramat Raya, Kramat Kwitang, and Jalan Pasar Senen. 

"Repairs are made using cold mix and hot mix materials according to the field conditions," she explained.

Then the total volume area of the 118 pothole points reached more than 94 square meters. Each point has an area varying from the smallest of 0.4 meters x 0.4 meters to the largest of 2.2 meters x 1 meter.

Central Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-district Head, M Sholeh explained similar repairs were also spotted in seven other sub-districts in Central Jakarta. During 2024, pothole repairs throughout Central Jakarta reached a total of 7,901 repaired. 

As for the total volume of the holes repaired during 2024 reached 25,149 square meters. While, the average volume of each hole was around 3 square meters.

"We hope our actions can minimize accidents caused by potholes and improve the comfort and safety of traffic," he hoped.
