7,203 Potholes in North Jakarta Repaired

The North Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency has repaired 7,203 damaged roads and potholes spread across six sub-districts from January to August 2024.

Then, in February, there were 1,272 points with a total area of around 11,353.4 square meters; March with 1,331 points reaching 19,805.78 square meters; and April with 861 points with a total area of around 12,123.12 square meters.
Then the damaged roads to potholes and repaired in May, there were 748 points with a total area of about 11,514.91 square meters; July with 1,003 points with a total area of about 17,778.525 square meters; and August with 656 points with a total area of about 11,898.3 square meters.
"The volume of damaged roads or potholes at each point varies from 10 centimeters to two meters in diameter with an average depth of up to 15 centimeters," he explained.
He added the categories of roads repaired consisted of neighborhood roads, arterial roads, collector roads, and local roads. In the repair, his party used coldmix and hotmix asphalt materials that were adjusted to road conditions.
"We will continue to conduct searches and follow up on residents' reports regarding damaged and potholed roads in each sub-district area," he added.
One of the residents from RW 03, Pegangsaan Dua Urban Village, Kelapa Gading, Wahyu (49) admitted the existence of damaged roads and potholes could endanger road users, especially motorcyclists who could have accidents.
He appreciated the officers who routinely held checks and moved quickly to repair damaged roads and potholes.
"Very good, especially in Kelapa Gading, the road conditions are getting better. Of course, this provides a sense of security and comfort for drivers who pass by," he stated.
