Transjakarta Wins Indonesia Best Women Empowerment Companies Awards 2025

PT Transjakarta won the Women Empowerment Companies Awards 2025: Women's Role in Sustainability in the Transportation Industry category organized by Her Story (PT Kuadran Satu Komunika).

The award was received directly by Transjakarta's Finance, Human Resources, and General Director, Mayangsari Dian Irwantari. This award 'Best Women Empowerment Company 2025 in Supporting Women’s Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development' was achieved because Transjakarta is capable of realizing inclusive public transportation that prioritizes gender equality.

PT Transjakarta's Public Relations and CSR Department Head, Ayu Wardhani, highly appreciated the role of women in the environment and in the Transjakarta ecosystem.

"This achievement ignites the Transjakarta's spirit and commitment to become an inclusive and sustainable transportation as implemented in the Triple S business strategy, namely Service, Strategic Partnership, and Sustainability," she expressed, Thursday (2/13).

In inclusivity and gender equality, Transjakarta has innovated by establishing TJ Academy, a special school for bus drivers. The first batch of TJ Academy was attended by 20 participants, all of whom are women.

"Transjakarta provides an opportunity to pursue a career as a bus driver for Transjakarta while paying attention to gender equality," he explained.

Transjakarta has also provided Pink Buses, which are special services for women. This service has been spread across several main corridors to enhance the safety and comfort of female passengers while traveling with Transjakarta.

She added Transjakarta would keep consistently providing opportunities and space for women's contributions in the Transjakarta ecosystem in the future.

"We will also continue to innovate by providing inclusive services for all customers," she added.

As information, Her Story (PT Kuadran Satu Komunika) organizes this awards event to appreciate inspiring women leaders who have successfully made changes and contributed to the enhancement of inclusive work and the development of women's potential to the fullest.

The assessment indicators used as a reference for this award include, among others, leadership, women's involvement in the company, gender-inclusive workplaces, the company's role in the economic development of women in the community, the use of digital technology to promote equality, as well as transparency and reporting.
